International Museum Day, 2022
The Power of Museums – International Museum Day at Nickle Galleries and Founders Gallery
Every year on May 18, the International Council of Museums celebrates the important role museums play in cultural exchange, in the enrichment of cultures and in the development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples. For 2022, the celebration focuses on the power of museums to transform the world around us. As incomparable places of discovery, museums teach us about our past and open our minds to new ideas — two essential steps in building a better future.
Come celebrate museums and their potential this May 18 with a series of exhibition tours offered by University of Calgary curators, collections and conservation specialists, and exhibiting local artists.
