Concert to take place in the Music Salon of a Deep Cove Residence
Join us for a special off-site concert in the Seymour Art Gallery’s 2012 Music Series. We will meet at the gallery at 7:30pm and walk together to a private residence for an intimate concert including selections from Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin performed by classical pianist Ashley Jones. Enjoy a complimentary sparkling cocktail before the concert and admire the spectacular Deep Cove views.
Ashley Jones was born and raised in North Vancouver, she began her piano studies at the age of six. Throughout high school, she studied under Polly Carnsew, Ralph Markham, and Kenneth Broadway. In eleventh grade Ashley attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy and continued her studies in piano, ear training, and theory under the direction of Dr. Michael Coonrod.
While earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at Scripps College, she majored in piano performance and was a member of Dr. Hao Huang's piano studio. She performed regularly and also studied chamber music, ear training, advanced theory, conducting, and music history. Ashley won the Claremont Concert Orchestra Concerto Competition and was featured as a soloist in December 2010.
