Traces From Tracings: Trees Under Duress
Cheryl Orr-Hood’s encaustic paintings capture the relationship between nature and humans. Her latest works “Traces From Tracings: Trees Under Duress”, embrace the branches of life as human forms appear in her works. Cheryl notes that “humans have limbs, trees have limbs showing how we are inter-dispersed.”
Cheryl lives in rural Manitoba and has exhibited in galleries across western Manitoba. Cheryl previously exhibited artwork at the Portage and District Arts Centre gallery in a group showing entitled, “A Different Slant” in 2008. Traces From Tracings will be on display in the main gallery until July 28th.
