Welcoming the annual juried exhibition of the Fraser Valley Potters Guild, this exhibition showcases a strong collection of their members’ recent works. Transformation takes inspiration from the miraculous process that occurs between clay and object. Gathered from living earth, clay is shaped by water and human hands in skilled manipulation. It later enters the fiery chamber of the kiln: a transformative space from which beautiful objects emerge.
The Fraser Valley Potters Guild is a non-profit association with close to 100 members, residing between Yarrow and Richmond. Formed in 1975 by alumni of the Ceramics Department of Douglas College (Surrey Campus), it is now an Association connected to the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Ceramics Department.
