The Portage & District Arts Centre will feature Travels, by Robert and Melodie Dondo in the Main Gallery from November 29, 2016 to Janurary 21, 2017. Robert and Melodie reside in Oakville, MB and have enjoyed travelling across Canada and to other countries. Both are very passionate about capturing and sharing the incredible beauty that is everywhere.

Robert and Melodie carry their cameras with them and hope to inspire others to travel and see the beauty and sights as they have. For those who are not able to travel, they hope to transport people to various destinations through their photography.

Travels is a collection of 40 photographs that Robert and Melodie have taken during their holiday travels. The majority of the photographs are from across Manitoba. They have not let the brutality of the winter stop them from going outside and capturing moments.

Robert and Melodie have taken numerous courses to help them learn and grow as photographers. Bryan Hansel has been their teacher and mentor; they admire his teaching style and humility, learning new photography techniques.

Please take some time to view the exhibition. It will transport you to various locations viewed through the camera lens of Robert and Melodie’s. This exhibition is on display, November 29, 2016 to January 21, 2017. Join us for the opening reception and artist talk on Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m.
