David Burdeny "Floating Village, Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia"Chromogenic print on archival paper 44" x 76"
The Jennifer Kostuik Gallery is pleased to present David Burdeny’s newest collection of photographs focusing on the areas of the Pacific region.
Varied in... subject matter, the range reminds us of past works from his early series, Ancora, and celebrated Shorelines Series, of the encompassing architectural imagery of 2009-2011, and Burdeny’s ultimate and signature theme, the ocean.
Color and light movement is pronounced and defined in St. Joseph’s Mandalay (one of the only Catholic Churches in Burma), viewed from a helicopter as portrayed in Floating Village, Tonie Sap Lake, Cambodia, and softened and blurred to a sensation of pure refraction and stillness revealed in Setting Moon and Rising Moon, Maui.
