Tricia Firmaniuk's paintings employ a darkly humourous meandery cartoon-like line, describing somewhat obscure personal narratives on heavily worked grounds. Nomi Stricker's paintings create fantastical spaces for acts of inventive imagination. The imagination implicated here is as much that of the viewer, as the artist graciously steps aside with a certain pictorial ambiguity.
