The Paint Spot is proud to present an exhibition of new mixed media work in the Naess Gallery by artist Erik Cheung, entitled “Verge of Recognition”. Artist reception will be held Thursday, August 9th from 5-9pm. These abstract works will be on display from August 6th to 31st of 2012.
Erik Cheung was born in Hong Kong. He received his BFA in Printmaking and Drawing from the University of Victoria in 1988. He returned to Canada in 2010 and now resides in Edmonton where he exhibits his work in various venues. Erik’s mixed media work has developed through exploring the subconscious drive behind the creative process and makes use of the relationship between negative shapes to form unique images.
