Visionary Landscapes

Uno Langmann Gallery 2117 Granville St, Vancouver, British Columbia V6H 3E9
Landscapes presented a great challenge to artists in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries and many rose to that challenge, bringing landscape forward from being simply the background to other subjects, to an important genre in its own right.
Landscape paintings vary dramatically in style, palette colour and lighting throughout the world, examples from most countries can be found in this exhibition. Artists represented include: Peder M. Monsted, Jose Weiss, Hippolyte Delpy, Eric Riordon, Peleg Franklin Brownell and Paul Trouillebert. Showing alongside this exhibition is a rotating selection of museum quality paintings, objets d’art, and antiques from Europe and North America.
