The Alberta Society of Artists is proud to present the group exhibition Voices of Abstraction featuring the work of Alberta artists: Barb Kreuter & Sharon Thompson.

Barb Kreuter and Sharon Thompson are both attracted to abstraction as a compelling open-ended way to explore and bring together feeling and intuition without the mental directives and limitations necessitated by representation. Their work is structured and connected to produce a visual wholeness, a feeling of completeness, simplicity, and flow and they both use a layering technique. The difference is in the medium. Barb Kreuter works with photographic prints and Sharon Thompson with paint. Their voices are very different, yet somehow, they share the same aesthetic.

There will be an artist talk at 2 pm on Saturday, January 21.
