A recent MFA graduate from the University of Calgary, William Downey brings together a wealth of experience, travel and yogic practice to create rich organic abstractions. Guided by spontaneous imagination brought on using Sahaja meditation, Downey’s colourful canvases celebrate life and evoke both celestial and corporeal bodies.
