Wine and Cheese Fair Trade Rug Seminar

For the first time ever Ten Thousand Villages, a fair trade store, and the Ruberto Ostberg Gallery are coming together to give the artistic credit due to Pakistani rug artisans. Spend an evening drinking fair trade wine, provided by Pacific Wine and Spirits, and learning more about how Oriental rugs are made, from dyeing the wool to tying the fringes and hear how fair trade works to produce high quality. Ten Thousand Villages Crowchild's Oriental Rug Event runs from Sept. 7-22, featuring over 200 handknotted rugs all made by fairly paid adults, from 2'x3's to 9'x12's.
