In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Art Dealers Association of Canada is planning a nation-wide Gallery Hop on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Piloted in Calgary in 2016 as a way to reach out to the public, over 50 galleries in 13 different cities across the country will participate for the first time in a simultaneous gallery hop, which will include talks with prominent artists, curators and art dealers.
ADAC member dealers are selected for their knowledge and scholarship in their respective fields of expertise. The goal is to promote and support the visual arts and Canadian art market through advocacy and public outreach, undertaking vital programming and professional development initiatives aimed at building a national and international profile for Canadian commercial galleries.
