A recent federal court ruling that narrowed the grounds for exporting and donating art is causing concern at Canada’s art museums. Gallery directors fear it will mean fewer gifts from wealthy collectors and an exodus of valuable art from Canada. The issues were summarized in Globe and Mail articles on Sept. 7 and Aug. 16.
