"Beyond Traditions" - Contemporary Rug Hooking

Known for her unique style, technical excellence and for breaking new ground within the craft of rug hooking, Rachelle LeBlanc’s contemporary hooked rugs not only challenges the medium, but also explores imagery not traditional to the craft. Using wool, cashmere and silk fabric, LeBlanc’s works express and celebrate the tensions created between contemporary imagery and traditional Canadian craft.
